"AHH!" Eve shrieked in delight as Johnny whipped his 1965 Plymouth Barracuda around one of the many bends in the road. "Johnny be careful!" She exclaimed breathlessly, but the fire in her eyes told him otherwise. She liked the danger, the excitement. A sudden grip on his thigh and Johnny immediately knew what she wanted.

Faster. FASTER. FASTER!

Eve's eyes darted from Johnny to the Speedometer. Sixty, seventy, eighty miles an hour he pushed it down this dark and winding road. Eve felt her cheeks flush from adrenaline, and her grip on his thigh grew tighter, just shy of painful. She hadn't felt this alive in years. She'd only known Johnny for a few hours, but he was exactly what she needed tonight. So she leaned in and started kissing his neck, moving up to his ear and whispering, "Pull over."

Johnny did so almost immediately, pulling his car into a deserted dirt road. They're joyride had taken them just to the outskirts of town. Which, of course, was Johnny's plan all along. From the moment he laid eyes on Eve earlier, he knew he had to have her.

His hand fumbled with the radio dial while he tried to set the mood. Unnecessarily, since Eve was still latched to his neck, but a night like this deserved a soundtrack. The third station was playing the newest hit by Steppenwolf, and that would have to do.

Johnny pried Eve off of his neck, and kissed her as deeply as he could. She tasted like ambrosia, like a kiss this sweet should have been reserved for the gods above. At that moment, Eve was the only thing in the entire world. This kiss could last a lifetime, and Johnny would die a happy man. Except..

"We're sorry to interrupt this broadcast with an important news bulletin," broke through the cloud of bliss Johnny was consumed in. He went to break the kiss and turn up the volume, but Eve must not have heard. She grabbed Johnny by the back of the head and pulled him back into the kiss.

"There have been reports... Corpses.. Drained.. Return..," Were the only words Johnny heard, so totally consumed in his ecstasy. But they were enough. He pulled himself from Eve's embrace, ignoring her small grunt of protest to turn up the dial.

"Just hold on a second. I think someone's dead," Johnny said, waiting for the broadcast to repeat itself.

"I'm sure it's nothing, Johnny. Besides, you'd protect me, right?" Eve almost whimpered while she flashed him the saddest puppy dog eyes Johnny had ever seen. Before he could respond though, Eve was already back at it, grazing his neck with her lips and tongue.

"Again, there have been reports of multiple homicides over town. The corpses are unidentifiable, and seem to be drained of all blood and fluids. There is now a curfew in effect, please return to your homes immediately." The broadcast ended there, leaving an unsettling moment of silence before the songs continued.

"Eve.. We should go. I'll drop you off at your place. It's not safe out there." Johnny stammered, partly from fear, partly because she was still attached to his neck.

"Johnny.." Eve breathed into his ear before sliding her hand inside of his shirt.

"It was never safe in here, either."

Before he could react, Eve sank her teeth into his neck, blood spraying across the roof of his car. Johnny tried to call out in protest, but the pressure on his chest was suddenly like a vice, and he could hardly breathe, let alone yell.

He could feel his blood pressure dropping as Eve seemed to drink more than was spilling out. But, that wasn't the only thing Johnny could feel. It was as if a force was tugging at his brain.. or something deeper. The pressure in his head was building and building, until finally Johnny broke. White light exploded across his vision while pain wracked his entire body. The last thread of resistance was snapped, but as Johnny lay there, the white light cleared.

He was a child again, watching his parents scream as they argued with each other. His dad smashed a vase in his anger. His mother walked out the door, never to be seen again.

Then he was a teenager, dressed in all black. He stood over an open casket, a beautiful young woman not a decade older than himself.  His step mother, dead. His father, absent.

Johnny found himself on the football field, ball in hand. His arm cocked back, and he threw as hard as he could. The receiver caught it easily in the end zone. They had just clutched the state championship, and the entire team lifted Johnny up on their shoulders. It was his proudest moment.

And Eve savored every last drop of it. Memory after memory she pulled from him, lived through him, and then consumed. Just as she drained his blood she drained his mind, body, and spirit. She drank in every heartbreak, every triumph, every individual experience that made Johnny, well, Johnny.

Just as when she drained the others, Johnny's physical body began to respond to losing it's life force. His hair shriveled up and shrank back into his skull. His skin began to pool around his bones, his muscles and tendons just strands of their former selves.

When there was nothing left except a vaguely humanoid shaped lump in the driver's seat, Eve finally unlatched herself. She sat there, almost purring as she delighted in the new memories she'd acquired. The lingering feelings of terror and pain tickled her skin and brought a sort of pleasure no human interaction could.

"Johnny, you really were the best I'd ever had." Eve commented to the corpse before exiting the vehicle. But as the heightened emotions began to fade, so did Eve's contentment. Her hunger was never truly sated, and as she walked back to town, she couldn't help but to wonder what she would experience next.
